Job Description
Are you an experienced Java EE developer proficient in Java and Kotlin? Join our team at Algoteque as a Java/Kotlin Backend Developer and contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions.
Location: Prague (on-site or hybrid mode)
Responsibilities:
Translate technical solution descriptions from IT analysts into functional code using Java and Kotlin
Develop unit tests and ensure code coverage
Manage code versioning using GitHub
Deploy code with the CI/CD pipeline
Collaborate with test analysts to verify functionality based on test scenarios
Required qualifications
Strong experience in software development on the Java EE platform (mid-level/senior)
Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, OOP, and design patterns
Familiarity with Spring framework and Java 17
Experience with microservices architecture and unit testing
Proficiency with tools such as Enterprise Architect, Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA), GitHub, Maven, Nexus, SonarQube
Strong team player with a broad understanding of technologies used in Java application development
Fluent Czech

Digital channels are built on Java, Kotlin, Spring, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Kafka, MQ, SpringBoot, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Flyway, and Sonar. Plan to transition to containerization using OpenShift/Kubernetes next year.
