Job Description
As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for leading the architecture of services and applications, as well as configuring a corporate GCP environment (Landing Zone). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and optimize cloud solutions that align with our business objectives. Your expertise will be instrumental in mapping business needs to specific cloud services, estimating and optimizing costs, and supporting migration projects to GCP. Additionally, you will play a key role in transferring knowledge to the organization through workshops and presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and determine the target configuration of the public cloud environment (Landing Zone) for migrated and newly created applications.
- Consult with other teams in the organization to design logical architecture and corporate public cloud configuration (Landing Zone).
- Map business needs to specific cloud solutions or services, with a focus on Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings.
- Estimate and optimize the costs of public cloud services for the indicated solutions built or migrated to the cloud.
- Provide support for migration projects to the GCP cloud, ensuring successful execution and adherence to best practices.
- Participate in knowledge transfer activities, including workshops and presentations, to empower teams with cloud expertise.
Required qualifications
- Very good knowledge of GCP cloud services and solutions, including Storage, Compute (+ Serverless), Networking and DevOps.
- Understanding of Cloud Native technologies such as: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of public cloud services, their limitations and how you design their use to achieve the assumed technological or business goal.
- Knowledge of the basics of programming languages, you are familiar with IT infrastructure, you have the basics of database services and you are able to transform application needs into services available in the public cloud.
- Understanding of the logical architecture (division into components, modules) and "physical" (servers, services) of the application, you understand how the application design process works in the environment.
- Knowledge of the billing models of cloud services and are able to analyze costs during the process of designing application and infrastructure solutions.
- You can define technical standards for public cloud environments and, based on trends and changes, recommend the use of new solutions for the organization.
- Knowledge of English at a minimum communicative level allowing you to cooperate with others, read and create documentation.
