We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our team. In this position, you will lead a group of software engineers, offering technical guidance, mentorship, and promoting a collaborative work environment. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, efficient, and maintainable software solutions using Python, GraphQL, Knowledge Graph (RDF), and OpenSearch technologies. Strong communication skills are crucial as you will clearly convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Job Description
- Technical Leadership: Lead a team of software engineers, providing technical direction, mentorship, and fostering collaboration
- Design and Development: Participate in designing and developing scalable, efficient, and maintainable software solutions using Python, GraphQL, Knowledge Graph (RDF) technologies, and OpenSearch
- Cross-Team Coordination: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other teams to ensure successful project completion
- Communication Skills: Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Documentation: Ensure that requirements are well-documented and understood by the development team. Prepare and review documentation related to software design, architecture, and functionality.
Required qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development
- Proficiency in Python and its related frameworks (Flask, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills (not required but advantageous):
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Understanding of GraphQL and its advantages for efficient data retrieval
- Knowledge of Knowledge Graph (RDF) technologies
- Experience in utilizing OpenSearch to implement full text search capabilities
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining Apache Airflow DAGs
- Contribution to open-source projects or personal coding projects
