Job Description
We are currently seeking to fill the position of Senior Aircraft EMI / EMC / RCS Simulation Engineer for the development of a new series of Military UAV projects. This is a permanent role with our client, a leading innovator in the aerospace and defense industry, specializing in cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technologies. His mission is to design and develop advanced UAV systems that meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and safety.
Job Responsibilities :
1) Electromagnetic Interference/Compatibility (EMI/EMC) Simulation and Analysis:
• Perform EMI/EMC simulations for UAV systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Analyze and mitigate potential interference issues between UAV components and external electromagnetic environments.
• Collaborate with design teams to implement EMI/EMC best practices in UAV design.
2) Radar Cross-Section (RCS) Simulation and Analysis:
• Conduct RCS simulations to evaluate the radar signature of UAV designs.
• Optimize UAV shapes and materials to minimize radar detection.
• Work with the stealth technology team to develop low-observable UAV systems.
3) Simulation Tool Utilization:
• Utilize advanced simulation tools such as CST Studio Suite, HFSS, FEKO, and other relevant software.
• Develop and validate simulation models to ensure accurate predictions of EMI, EMC, and RCS performance.
4) Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of simulation results.
• Present findings and recommendations to engineering teams and management.
• Maintain accurate records of simulation activities and design changes.
5) Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on electromagnetic considerations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in EMI, EMC, and RCS simulation technologies.
Required qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in EMI, EMC, and RCS simulation for aerospace or defense applications.
• Proficiency with electromagnetic simulation software (e.g., CST Studio Suite, HFSS, FEKO).
• Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and principles.
• Experience with UAV systems and their electromagnetic environment considerations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with stealth technology and low-observable design.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to EMI/EMC and RCS.
• Previous experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
