We are hiring a Military Test Center Operation Manager able to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the test center. This role involves overseeing day-to-day activities and collaborating with Test Specialists, Services Managers, Engineering Managers, and clients to prioritize safety, optimize resources, comply with regulations, and ensure client satisfaction.
Job Description
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the test center, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to operational procedures.
• Maximize test center capacity in collaboration with Services and Engineering Managers, optimizing resource planning and utilization.
• Lead test planning activities in coordination with the test planning team, ensuring efficient scheduling and resource allocation.
• Ensure that the test center operates in accordance with all relevant legislation and regulation.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their testing and trial requirements and expectations.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
• Work with Engineering and Services Managers to ensure that test center support activities do not negatively impact tests and trials.
• Ensure that the Test Specialists plan all tests safely with all safety risks managed to an As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) and Tolerable status.
• Ensure that all Test Specialists are trained, competent and current for all tests that they are responsible for planning.
• Communicate effectively with clients throughout the process, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
