We are looking for an electrical design engineer for test to work for our client specializing in Energy.
Job Description
The assignment will be to assist in the development of a test system or maintain the existing test database by supporting manufacturing and maintenance.
This position is responsible for designing the test facility hardware and developing the associated software for product validation in engineering and manufacturing.
Throughout the phases of the project, the engineer will coordinate his/her tasks and be responsible for:
• Ensure that commercial products meet their specifications (qualification process).
• Test definition.
• Perform testability analysis at the system level by analyzing the architecture of the tool or at the sub-assembly level by analyzing the schematics and specifications (would be a plus, with TestWay).
• Interface with the supplier or internal department for the realization.
• Develop test configurations and programs, evaluate test compliance to product specifications, provide test documentation.
• Ensure all products include proper and complete documentation and engineering file.
• Build prototypes, products, and systems for testing.
• Provide support to the manufacturing floor and vendors on existing fleet of test systems.
• Design test procedures.
• Provide timely corrective actions for all assigned defects and problems.
• Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs.
• Create and maintain product documentation (requirements, specifications, design).
Required qualifications
• Master's Degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years as technical assignment in a testing environment or designing electronics
Technical skills
• You have strong problem solving skills and technical judgment.
• You are comfortable with planning and project management.
• Electrical skills :
- Digital electronics.
- Low noise - grounding and shielding.
- μProcessor & μController.
- PWA testability.
• Software skills :
- NI TestStand. (NI National Instrument certification level would be a plus)
- C/C++, assembly language, Use of LabWindows CVI.
- Git or comparable version control system, would be a plus.
• Mandatory electrical clearance.
