Job Description

In order to set up its new global organization, our client is looking for a Product Engineering Manager to manage the engineering team which is composed by disciplines such as Process, Electricity, Automation, CAD, … The engineering manager develops and manages the engineering team, in terms of resources, competencies and organization to ensure the team can meet their objectives. He implements the process developed by the Engineering center of excellence and participate to all engineering transversal process as technical knowledge management and norms & codes review. - Designs configurable products based on design requirements and possibly concepts provided by the Product Management team; the design activities include basic design and detailed design. - Ensures that the design meets performance criteria, functionality, safety standards and regulatory requirements. - Specify tests to be performed in order to assess product performance, reliability, and durability, making necessary refinements and iterations to improve product design. - Focuses on optimizing product designs for cost-effective manufacturing, assembly and maintenance processes without compromising product quality nor performance. - Collaborates with suppliers, manufacturing/ assembly partners or internal teams to ensure the smooth transition from product design to production. It works closely with the procurement team to identify suitable suppliers, assess their capabilities, and provide guidance on component sourcing. - Delivers proper documentation on product designs, including manuals. Creates technical definition documents, such as manufacturing drawings and bill of materials (BOM) to facilitate smooth production and support quality control. - Adapt/ modify the product design, while respecting the Engineering Change Management processes - Tailor the global Product Design to local need according to the split of scope and the rules defined by the product manager - Ensure consistency between design solutions implemented on different products where applicable; promotes and ensures standardization and reuse of solutions wherever possible.

Required qualifications

You have an engineering master, You have minimum 10 years' experience in engineering in an industrial environment, You have minimum 5 years' experience in team management, Experience and knowledge in the Oil&Gas sector is an asset, You understand main engineering disciplines process, electricity, automation, CAD,… and you how they interface between each other's, You have a knowledge of international code and standard used in the oil & gas industry, You have an experience with pressurized equipment subject to PED or ASME design, You have an experience with hazardous area, (for example: ATEX certification in Europe), You have a strong and autonomous personality and an entrepreneurial mindset, You are able to prioritize and have an excellent sense of organization, You are able to work in a team and take responsibility on several projects in parallel, You are adaptable and at ease with evolving in a continuously growing environment, You are fluent in English, You are proficient in MS office, Teams, and SharePoint.
