Job Description
Algoteque is looking for a passionate and skilled Java Developer to join our team! If you're a Java wizard with a knack for building efficient and reliable web services, we'd love to have you on board! 🌟
What You'll Do 🛠️
Develop new and maintain existing web services using Java (11), Spring MVC, and Hibernate
Transform business requirements into testable features within an agile environment
Design and implement RESTful APIs using Spring
Document features and changes as part of the SDLC process 📑
Collaborate with the team in code reviews, daily scrum activities, and more
Maintain build & deployment configurations
Required qualifications
3+ years of Java development experience, proficient in all stages of the SDLC
Strong knowledge of Spring Framework in a service-oriented architecture
Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs with Spring MVC
Understanding of SQL and Hibernate ORM, with experience using PostgreSQL
Basic understanding of AWS services (Lambda is more than just a Greek letter to you 😉)
Ability to work closely with business analysts and translate their requirements into code
Comfortable debugging, writing unit tests, and proposing effective solutions to various issues

Regularly use Docker and Terraform
Experience working in highly regulated environments
