Job Description
As a Senior Consultant Mechanical Engineer, we are seeking for someone who is responsible for the design and simulation of subsystem assemblies across various domains, along with environmental analysis, motion systems, and design for manufacturing. You will work closely with engineers and Project Managers to support project planning, scheduling, and risk assessment, with defined responsibilities that impact the project's success. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the development of advanced communication systems for both ground-based and aerospace applications.
The Role :
- Spearhead the entire process of designing, developing, simulating, testing, and refining complex integrated systems, from overall assemblies to individual components ( Solidworks)
- Manage key tasks including requirement analysis, architectural design, component selection, testing, and preparation of manufacturing documentation.
- Work closely with both internal teams and external experts across hardware, radio frequency, optical, and software disciplines.
Based in Lausanne
Required qualifications
Qualifications :
- MSc or equivalent in electronic engineering or a related field
- Over 5 years of demonstrated expertise in hardware or electrical engineering
- Expertise : Solidworks
- Extensive background in thermal simulations and thermal management strategies
- Knowledgeable in system-level architecture, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and software components ( Nice to have)
- Skilled in Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacture (DFM) methodologies
- Familiar with product certification processes and high-volume manufacturing
