Job Description
- Create new web services and maintain existing ones using Java, Spring MVC, and Hibernate
- Convert business analysis and requirements into testable features in an agile environment
- Document features and modifications throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Engage in code reviews and participate in daily scrum meetings
- Oversee build and deployment configurations
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Java development; able to work independently
- Proficient in all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with the foundational skills to set up your environment, debug software, write unit tests, and propose effective solutions to various issues
- Capable of writing software in Java (11) using the Spring framework within a service-oriented architecture
- Skilled in designing and implementing RESTful APIs using Spring MVC
- Familiar with SQL and the Hibernate ORM framework, and able to work with PostgreSQL databases
- Basic understanding of AWS services, with Lambda being familiar to you
- Able to collaborate with business analysts to translate their analysis and requirements into code
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of modern build tools, such as GitHub Actions
- Regular use of Docker and Terraform
- Experience in a highly regulated development environment
