Job Description
Are you a skilled Release Project Manager with a passion for ensuring smooth and timely software deliveries? We are looking for a driven individual with a deep understanding of release management to oversee and optimize our software delivery process. Join our team and play a key role in managing and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
What You'll Do:
Planning & Scheduling: Develop, plan, and control the full lifecycle of software development and release processes.
Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate the DevOps and development teams, ensuring timely delivery of services and solutions.
IT Operations Management: Oversee IT operations to ensure smooth collaboration and seamless software deployment.
Risk Identification & Mitigation: Analyze potential risks during the release process and implement mitigation strategies.
Compliance Oversight: Ensure all releases adhere to organizational standards and industry regulations.
Release Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive release notes and deployment plans for each release cycle.
Continuous Feedback Loop: Collect post-release feedback, analyze performance, and drive improvements for future releases.
Effective Communication: Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical information into clear insights.
Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly update stakeholders on project status, manage expectations, and incorporate feedback.
Required qualifications
Experience: experience in release/project management within software development or IT environments.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including DevOps and IT operations.
Risk Management: Strong understanding of risk assessment and mitigation in software delivery.
Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with organizational standards, regulations, and compliance requirements in software releases.
Technical Acumen: Background in software development/IT with a deep understanding of the SDLC and DevOps principles.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Tools & Methodologies: Hands-on experience with project management and DevOps tools (e.g., Jira, Git, Jenkins).
Problem Solver: Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex project-related challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in hybrid work environments.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Expertise in DevOps processes and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
