We are hiring a Sr. Aircraft Electrical Power Systems Engineer to work on multiple combat UAV programs.
It is a permanent position with our customer based in UAE.
Job Description
The candidate will provide specialist design, development, hardware implementation, integration and support on UAV electrical power systems.
• Produce and support the development of electrical power system designs for manned and unmanned aerospace vehicles
• Electrical power generation design for mainly unmanned aerospace vehicles
• Primary Power Distribution System design, PDU selection, integration and support.
• Secondary Power Distribution System design, SPDU selection, integration and support.
• Grounding Bonding, lightning strategy definition and development
• Electrical Power, Avionics and Mission systems - integration support
• Work closely with specialists in a multidisciplinary team
• Support and contribute to program milestones and major reviews
• Comply with company statutory requirements, rules and safety requirements
• Adhere to company's internal guidelines and processes.
Required qualifications
• Master of Engineering in Aerospace
• 10 years experience with Aircraft electrical power generation and distribution systems.
• Expertise in electrical power generation, power distribution, backup power systems and general power electronics design techniques.
• Experience in the electrical power system component selection, architecture design and implementation.
• Expertise in analog/digital/communication system electrical interfaces, circuits and design practices.
• Experience in system level grounding, bonding, lightning protection and wiring practices.
• High level of knowledge with system engineering processes and developing system requirement documents.
• High level of knowledge with safety critical design, essential load, non-essential load definition.
• Demonstrate some expertise of avionics systems and subsystems, such as propulsion, electrical, communication, navigation and flight control subsystems.
• Expertise with analog/digital circuit design rules and testing.
