Job Description
For one of our client of the spatial sector, based in Antwerpen, we're looking for a RF Engineer who will be act as an expert on all design aspects of space hardware with a strong emphasis on RF. You will also take the technical lead of the system/subsystem electronic aspects for the entire lifecycle of a project. It starts by understanding the customer RF requirements, translating them into electronic requirements, and performing a conceptual electronics design with design team.
On the job, you will be required to :
- Design, prototype, and test RF systems
- Conduct RF simulations for microwave systems using 3D electromagnetic (EM) simulation software, optimizing performance and efficiency
- Support the engineering department in validating the simulations with prototypes, analyzing performance data and making recommendations for improvements
- Select appropriate materials for microwave components, considering factors such as conductivity, dielectric properties, and thermal stability
- Design waveguides and transmission lin
Required qualifications
Graduate of higher education or an engineering school specialized in electronics, you have a +5 years relevant experience in the space sector or in a similar technical environment.
Required skills :
- Strong fundamentals of RF/microwave with hands-on experience designing RF circuits and systems
- Strong technical knowledge on electronic components and the electronic hardware design.
- Knowledge of test and measurement equipment aiding in RF design
- Knowledge of antenna and phased array design is desirable, but not essential
- Fluency in English.
