We are seeking for a proactive and dynamic Ruby On Rails Developer to join ALGOTEQUE and be a part of international team of our client from Netherlands.
The company is a stable and well-established educational software firm, currently operates seven platforms but is looking to consolidate everything into a single, unified SaaS platform. This ambitious project involves a complete rebuild from scratch using AWS and microservices. They aim to refresh and modernize the entire system, creating a cohesive, interconnected platform from the ground up.
The team is searching for proactive, dynamic professionals—more than just coders—who can bring real value to the project.
We are looking for people who can think strategically and contribute to the project's vision, rather than simply executing tasks.
Profil recherché
Must Have:
- Ruby and Rails: Proficient in Ruby development, specifically using Rails 7.1 and the latest version.
- Backgroud jobs: Experience with background job processing and caching using Sidekiq.
- Redis: Experience with using, setting up and troubleshooting redis and optimising it for caching and pub/sub functionalities.
- MySQL: Strong SQL skills with MySQL, including knowledge of indexing and query optimization for performance. Good knowledge of performance insights.
- ActiveRecord ORM: Familiar with Rails' ActiveRecord for ORM and database management. Understanding the pain points and way to optimize it for higher performance.
- Frontend Development with Haml: Proficient in server-side rendering using Haml templates for Ruby mixed with HTML.
- Email Management: Understanding of server-side email dispatch with knowledge of how to set up, configure, and troubleshoot mailing processes.
Nice to Have:
- Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with Docker; strong understanding of Docker best practices.
- CI/CD: Proficient in Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar tools.
- Hosting and Deployment: Familiarity with cloud hosting and deployment processes.
- Third-Party Integration: Experience integrating external services or APIs.
- Additional Gems and Libraries: Knowledge of Ruby gems that enhance performance, security, and maintainability.
