We are currently looking for a Head of Process Department to work for our client specializing in hydrogen activities.
Job Description
The Head of Process Department will manage a team of 10 professionals based in Belgium and India, focusing on optimizing process control and safety for electrolyzer systems. The role will involve close collaboration with other departments and project teams.
• Leadership: Manage teams in Belgium and India, ensuring high performance and collaboration across both locations.
• Process Design & Safety: Ensure compliant process designs, maintain process safety, and drive continuous improvement in process standards.
Required qualifications
• Master's degree in engineering (Civil or Industrial).
• At least 10-15 years of experience in process control/safety, with experience in team management. Experience in hazardous areas is mandatory, and experience in the hydrogen sector is considered an asset. Field experience is a plus.
• Strong expertise in process control and safety for complex industrial systems.
• Knowledge of international codes and norms (mainly EN, ISO, ASME).
• Experience with simulation software (e.g., Symmetry, ASPEN).
• Ability to develop and implement internal standards and process design documentation
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities
• Fluent in English (strong written, verbal, and proven presentation), French is a plus.
Location of workplace: Liege, Belgium. Occasional travel to India may be required for team management and project coordination.
