Job Description
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Test and Commissioning Technicians to join our team in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, specializing in the testing & commissioning of electrical and electronic equipment for rail stations. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in rail systems, proficiency in system Test and Commissioning, and the ability to write precise T&C reports to ensure the smooth functioning of critical station infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform installation, testing, and commissioning activities for rail station systems, including:
- SICS (Station Information and Control System)
- CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television Systems)
- ACS-ICS (Access Control Systems - Integrated Control Systems)
- Master Clock Systems
- IT Servers and WKS
- PIS (Passenger Information System)
- PIDS (Passenger Information Display Systems)
- PAS (Public Address System)
- MSN+BMIS (MultiService Network and Building Management Information System)
- Telephone and Voice Recording (VR) Systems
• Conduct functional and performance testing of systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare detailed reports on testing and commissioning activities, including observations, findings, and resolutions.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout all phases of testing and commissioning.
• Support system integration and interface testing between subsystems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including contractors and project managers, to achieve project milestones.
Required qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in testing and commissioning roles for rail station systems or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with the listed systems (SICS, CCTV, ACS-ICS, PIS, PIDS, etc.) is mandatory.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in electrical and electronic system troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Modbus).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system manuals.
Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Additional Requirements:
• Willingness to work in shifts and on-site at various rail station locations.
• Availability for extended hours during critical project phases.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications in rail system technologies or commissioning processes.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly rail or transportation.
