Job Description
As a Regional IT Support Specialist, you will provide skilled and efficient IT support across the region, reporting directly to the Geneva Desktop Support Team Lead. This role focuses on maintaining IT infrastructure, supporting end-users, and contributing to IT-related projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. A strong command of English is essential, reflecting the international and anglophone nature of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Maintenance
Diagnose and resolve daily technical issues for end-users.
Escalate unresolved issues to the Geneva Team Lead when necessary.
Provide remote support for users in other regions.
Set up, configure, and maintain IT equipment in line with business expectations.
Ensure security updates, antivirus installations, and troubleshooting for authorized software.
Infrastructure Management
Support and maintain servers, network equipment, and server rooms.
Perform daily site and equipment checks to ensure optimal functionality.
Log faults, track outages, and manage IT inventory and stock control.
End User Support
Conduct basic user training and onboarding for new hires.
Handle user moves, including peripherals and printers.
Troubleshoot APC/UPS and cabinet power equipment.
Project Support
Undertake IT projects as assigned by the Regional Manager.
Adhere to global IT standards and actively contribute to process improvements.
Administrative Duties
Prepare documents, meeting materials, and correspondence.
Track IT purchases and warranty repairs.
Provide weekend or after-hours support when required.
Required qualifications
Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications :
Technical Expertise :
Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office 2019/O365.
Strong knowledge of imaging/packaging tools and market data platforms (advantageous).
Networking experience with routers, firewalls, and switches (Cisco, Citrix, VPN).
Familiarity with spyware/malware removal tools and MS Intune for mobile device management.
Professional Skills
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and customer service across all organizational levels.
Proven ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.
High level of written and spoken English required.
